Super Eagles and Villareall winger, Samuel Chukwueze scored his second Laliga goal of the 2019/2020 season after coming off the bench to net a stoppage time goal in the team’s 5-1 thrashing of Real Betis Friday night, Rushhoursport.com reports.
Chukwueze played for 33 minutes after coming on for Gomez on 57 minutes with scores at one goal apiece. It was the Nigerian’s sixth Laliga game of the new season having featured as an unused substitute against CD Leganes.
Karl Toko Ekambi netted the curtain-raiser for villareall’s in the 39th minute, but emerson equalized for real betis in the 48th minute.
The match day 7 tie at Stadio de La Ceramica saw the 20-year-old Nigerian international win a penalty on 68 minute which was converted by Santo Carzola to hand The Yellow Submarines a 2-1 lead.
Ekambi completed his brace on the night when he extended the home team’s lead to 3-1 before Moreno made it 4-1 on the dot of 90 minutes.
But four minutes into the added time, Chukwueze scored the fifth from a solo effort for the manager Celleja side.
