Spurs Will Find It Tough Keeping Kane, Others For Long Time - Rummenigge

Germany legend and Bayern Munich CEO, Karl-Heinz Rummenigge, has warned Tottenham Hotspur to be ready for a tough challenge of keeping for a long time, their world class striker, Harry Kane and other top quality players in their squad.

Bayern Munich are set to confront Mauricio Pochettino’s men in their UEFA Champions League Group B matchday-2 game at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium on Tuesday. And Rummenigge is wary of the strength of the hosts inspired by England captain Kane.

The former Germany international howevee says the Premier League will face a difficult task of keeping Kane and other highly talented players for a long time with many interested clubs looking to prise them away.

“They have a good team. The question is whether they can keep this top team together for a long time, because Christian Eriksen’s contract expires next year.
There are certainly also clubs that are interested in Harry Kane,” Rummenigge told reporters in Munich ahead of his team’s trip to England on Monday.

“Kane is a top player who, like Robert Lewandowski, scores an incredible number of goals.

“They are perhaps the two best strikers in the world right now.”

Rummenigge added: “I hope Robert will do better than Kane tomorrow but it’s not easy to stop him, he’s a world-class striker.”

Bayern Munich lead Group B after a round of game following their 3-0 home win against FK Crvena Zvezda (Red Star Belgrade) on September 18.

Tottenham are second in the table on one point following their 2-2 draw at Olympiacos on matchday-one.
