"No Plans" - Chelsea Star Willian Speaks On New Contract Talks, Exit

Chelsea Winger Willian has revealed he has no plans to speak with other clubs in January. The Brazilian could leave Chelsea at the end of this season as a free agent if not offered a new contract by the blues.

His current contract earns him £120,000 per week but Chelsea are yet to open talks over a new deal which means he can talk to clubs about a transfer in January.

Barcelona are still interested in Willian and it appears Chelsea are willing to listen to offers.

Last summer, we can recall Chelsea rejected a shocking £50m bid for the 32-year-old from Barcelona.

However, Willian insists he has no plans to speak with other clubs about a transfer.

‘I don’t want to talk to (other clubs) because I have a contract until the end of the season,’ he said after Chelsea’s 2-2 Champions League draw with Valencia.

‘I am a Chelsea player but I just want to say the club know what I want to do.’

He added: ‘Honestly, I’m happy here. I feel happy to play for this club but this situation is not in my hands. It is in theirs. I wait for them.

‘They know what I want, what I want to do. They already know so I wait for them.’

Willian, who moved to Stamford Bridge in 2013, started the thrilling draw at the Mestalla on Wednesday night and has been a key source of experience for Frank Lampard’s young side.

The Chelsea boss said recently that he hopes the Brazilian will remain at the club for some time.

‘I can’t get involved in the money, that’s up to the club, but I think everyone sees I’m relying on him and I love him at this football club,’Lampard said earlier this month.

‘He’s been a joy and one of the experienced players that’s really helping the young boys.’
