Anthony Joshua has revealed he believes sparring with Tyson Fury would enable him beat his fellow brit in a future bout. Joshua regained his IBF, WBO, WBA and IBO titles when he defeated Andy Ruiz Jr in a rematch in Saudi Arabia earlier this month, and has since offered to train with Tyson Fury.
Both Joshua and Fury have won world heavyweight titles in recent years, but promoters have failed to agree on multiple occasions for a fight between them.
Speaking to Sky Sports, Joshua said: 'Sparring, with Fury for the first time, maybe for my benefit I might go in there and he might just batter me around the right or I batter him around the ring.
'If this does happen, I know I can surely make some notes and go back more ready when I'm ready to fight him and correct all my mistakes.
'Everyone are like "you wouldn't do it" but no one understands how my brain works. Everyone talks from their own experiences and I can only talk from my own.'
Joshua also recently admitted that he regret his decision to offer to spar with Tyson Fury publicly.
Joshua recently toldiFL TV: 'You know when I look back at some of the s**t I say I think, "Why did I say that?".
'So now we're going to talk about it and give more publicised things to talk about!'
Anthony Joshua is unlikely to face Tyson Fury in his next fight.
Oleksandr Usyk is the atory challenger for the WBO belt and Kubrat Pulev is mandatory challenger for the IBF crown.
