SC Paderborn defender Uwe Hunemeier has questioned Manchester United's pursuit of Borussia Dortmund winger Jadon Sancho.
Hunemeier believes United might struggle to sign Sancho because of his Manchester City past.
Sancho has frequently been linked with a move back to the Premier League this summer, with United putting him at the top of their list of targets, but veteran centre-half Hunemeier - who is set to come up against Sancho as Paderborn take on Dortmund on Sunday - believes his City history could hinder their pursuit.
"He played for Manchester City before if I'm not wrong?" he said, on the Transfer Window podcast.
“So I don't know if he would be happy to play for United then, I don't know how big the rivalry is between these two teams.
"I know there's a rivalry but I don't know how he sees that. But in terms of football, probably his style would definitely suit Liverpool. But it's difficult to tell him what's best for him. He's such a big talent, he could play for every big club in England."
