City have been boosted by the news of their manager's contract extension and now one of the academy crown jewels is finding his way to the first team
Cole Palmer was a particularly small boy emerging through the Manchester City academy when his father joked that he just needed Pep Guardiola to take over as coach for the club to fully appreciate his technical quality.
“So, when I started training with the first team, my dad said: 'I told you!' We had a good laugh over it," the 18-year-old reveals in an exclusive interview with Goal.
"But, honestly, to train under Pep every day is crazy, really. He's such a good manager.”
