Anthony Martial's wife has shared the disgusting racist messages she's received from football fans about her husband, on the same day his teammate was also attacked on social media.
Following Manchester United's loss to Sheffield United on Wednesday night, Axel Tuanzebe had to delete a post on Instagram following the vile messages he'd received.
The young center-back was making his first Premier League start to the season in an overall poor defensive display for Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's team.
Martial was another of the players to come in for criticism, as much for the quality of his display as for his perceived lack of effort.
His wife has now taken to Instagram to share the messages she's been sent on the social media platform about her husband.
In a statement yesterday, the club condemned the racism directed at players, saying, "Everyone at Manchester United is disgusted by the racial abuse received by players via social media after last night's game.
"We utterly condemn it and it is encouraging to see other fans condemn this on social media also.
"Manchester United has zero tolerance of any form of racism or discrimination and a long-standing commitment to campaigning against it through our All Red All Equal initiative.
"Identifying these anonymous mindless idiots remains problematic. We urge social media platforms and regulatory authorities to strengthen measures to prevent this kind of behaviour."
Players also rallied around Tuanzebe on social media.
The loss to the Blades was United's first defeat in 13 league games, since losing to Arsenal, and they play the Gunners on Saturday.
Solskjaer will be hoping his side can bounce back and continue their potential title challenge.
