The Premier League has instigated confusion by listing Cristiano Ronaldo’s Manchester United shirt number as 7.
United announced Ronaldo’s stunning return to the club on Friday.
The Red Devils’ rivals, Manchester City, had been heavily linked with the 36-year-old.
But United made a late swoop to add Ronaldo to a squad that has already seen Jadon Sancho and Raphael Varane arrive this summer.
Edinson Cavani currently wears No 7, the number Ronaldo previously wore in Manchester.
However, Premier League’s official website has listed both Cavani and Ronaldo as the same number.
There is no official confirmation from the Red Devils yet, as to what number Ronaldo will wear.
