Former Manchester United striker, Michael Owen, has predicted today’s UEFA Champions League group stage fixture between Liverpool and AC Milan at Anfield.
Owen also predicted Manchester City’s UEFA Champions League group stage clash against RB Leipzig at Etihad Stadium.
Providing his predictions, Owen told BetVictor, “Wednesday sees Manchester City host RB Leipzig in Group A, which at first glance appears to be a tricky tie. However, Leipzig have recently lost their manager Julain Nagelsmann, central defenders Upamecano and Konate and their influential midfielder Sabitzer.
“They have started their Bundesliga campaign badly and I can’t see anything other than a resounding win for Pep Guardiola’s side here. 4-1 to City is my prediction.”
Commenting on the Liverpool vs AC Milan match, Owen said, “This is the most difficult Group to predict with the four teams involved having played in 25 European Cup finals between them.
“If Liverpool are to get through to the knockout stages, it’s vital they get off to a good start and I fancy them to do just that with a 2-0 win.”
The kick-off time for Liverpool vs Milan and Man City vs RB Leipzig is 8 pm, Nigerian time.
