Thierry Henry singles out two Arsenal players after 3-1 win over Tottenham

Arsenal legend, Thierry Henry, has said he was impressed by Bukayo Saka and Emile Smith Rowe in their 3-1 win over Tottenham on Sunday.

Henry, speaking on Monday Night Football, said the Gunners need their young players to shine as it is “contagious” for the rest of the squad.

Smith Rowe opened the scoring from a Saka cutback, before laying on the second goal for captain Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang to make it 2-0.

Saka then made it 3-0 just before the half-time whistle was blown.

“Bukayo Saka and Smith Rowe. For me, those two having a goal and assist. Arsenal played that game like a derby as they should, I don’t think Tottenham did, especially in the first half, but what a day.

“You want to see that more often, but for me the two kids, especially for the academy and what it represents.

“It is contagious, we need that at Arsenal, we need these types of performances and that is why Mikel [Arteta] went for guys that have that DNA in them, because they know what it is to compete and win,” Henry said.
