Bayern Munich manager, Julian Nagelsmann has said that he sent a message to Ralf Rangnick, telling him it’s ‘great’ that he is being appointed as the interim manager at Manchester United.
All is set for Rangnick to be announced as the next manager at Old Trafford on an interim basis until the end of the season.
This is following the sacking of Ole Gunnar Solskjaer last Sunday. The Norwegian was sacked after he led the team to a 4-1 defeat to lowly Watford.
Nagelsmann was one of the managers inspired by Rangnick with his pressing philosophy.
“I texted him and told him I think it’s great,” Nagelsmann told a press conference on Friday.
“He will do United very well with the way he plays football.
“I believe that United will play good games in the next few weeks and I wish he’ll stay there longer than just next summer.”
