Arsenal legend, Thierry Henry has hit out at Jadon Sancho following Manchester United’s Premier League 3-1 victory over Burnley on Thursday night.
Henry said Sancho was ‘playing within himself’ during the encounter as the England international forced a Burnley own goal during the tie.
The former Barcelona striker criticized Sancho, a £73million, who is yet to really impress at the Red Devils.
Man United defeated Burnley at Old Trafford thanks to goals from Scott McTominay, Ben Mee (OG) and Cristiano Ronaldo.
In the studio as an analyst for Amazon Prime, Henry said: “Those are the types of players you want to watch, but he [Sancho] is playing within himself.
“When you are in a one-on-one, you should take a player on. But it was Luke Shaw who was forcing him to take on those one-on-ones.
“What happened to beating your man on the outside? They often want to go too much inside. Just beat your man on the outside and be lethal.”
Sancho has scored just one goal in 15 Premier League matches this season for Ralf Rangnick’s side.
