Manchester United boss, Ralf Rangnick had responded to club legend, Gary Neville’s claim that Red Devil players were a ‘bunch of whinge bags.’
Nevile made the comment following Manchester United’s side’s 1-1 draw with lowly Newcastle on Monday.
The German argued that a lack of ‘physicality’ was their ‘major problem’ on the night.
Allan Saint-Maximin put the home side in front in the first half but Edinson Cavani came off the bench to find an equaliser with 19 minutes remaining.
United was found wanting in numerous areas against the relegation, battling Newcastle with just one solitary win under their belt this season.
Neville had lambasted United stars on Sky Sports pundit over lacklustre performance in the opening 45 minutes and told Rangnick’s players to quit “complaining.”
However, Rangnick was asked about Neville’s Whinge bag comment at post-match press conference and he said,
“I don’t think today was a problem of body language.
“It was more a question of physicality, of meeting the demands of speed, tempo, physicality and the side effect is the body language afterwards.
‘I don’t think that was the major problem today for us.
“The major problem was the way we played in those moments when it was about physicality.”
