Chelsea star, Jorginho, has given his “honest” verdict regarding the Blues’ Premier League title chances this season.
Chelsea have fallen off the pace in recent weeks, dropping points against West Ham United as they try to challenge leaders Manchester City for the title this term.
Thomas Tuchel’s side are currently six points behind Man City on the log but are level with Liverpool.
But Jorginho is now saying that he prefers Chelsea to be labeled as underdogs in terms of the title race.
Asked about Tuchel’s men becoming the hunters, sitting six points behind Pep Guardiola’s side on the log, Jorginho told Chelsea’s official website: “I prefer to be the underdog and let people talk about others and we just keep working and pushing, and in the end, we will see where we can be.
“I knew a difficult time would always come during the season, and it is more about how you deal with it. We did the right thing, kept working and working and helping each other to get out of that situation, and now we still have a lot to do.”
Chelsea will hope to close the gap between Man City when they host Brighton on Wednesday night at Stamford Bridge.
