Chelsea manager, Thomas Tuchel, has said he could make a “crazy decision” by starting Reece James against Liverpool in Sunday’s Carabao Cup final.
James has been out with injury since the match against Brighton in December.
The England full-back returned to training on Thursday following the hamstring issue.
Tuchel has now suggested the 22-year-old could start at Wembley.
“Reece James, even if I wanted to answer I’m not sure if I could answer, he looked brilliant in the last two sessions, let’s see if the crazy side of me wins and I put him on the pitch.
“He looked so strong and confident that it is tempting. Still, two days to go and we will make the decision,” Tuchel said.
He added: “We had training with everybody on the pitch except Ben Chilwell, which is brilliant news. Everyone joined team training from the first to the last minute.”
