Former Chelsea midfielder, Craig Burley, has hit out at Tottenham Hotspur manager, Antonio Conte, asking him to leave the club if he does not want to be there.
Conte was left fuming after a 1-0 defeat at Burnley.
It was Spurs’ fourth defeat in their last five games and the Italian threw his future into doubt by suggesting he could leave the club.
Conte, however, retraced his steps and apologised during his press conference on Friday, reaffirming his commitment to the North London club
But Burley feels Conte is sending mixed signals and should “shut up and get on with it”.
“He doesn’t know at the moment whether he’s having his dinner, or whether he’s having a haircut,” Burley told ESPN FC.
“I’m sorry, why doesn’t he just take his salary, shut up and get on with it.
“For God’s sake, man, make your mind up. If you don’t want to be there, just go.
“If it’s not what you thought it was, maybe you’re waiting for a bigger pay-off, I don’t know what you’re waiting for. What, you’re going to wait for the summer and think Daniel Levy’s going to give you £300million? No, it’s not going to happen.”
