Nigeria vs Ghana: How Ndidi reacted to Super Eagles’ World Cup playoff defeat to Black Stars

Super Eagles midfielder, Wilfred Ndidi, has expressed shock and disappointment at Nigeria’s failure to qualify for the 2022 FIFA World Cup in Qatar later this year.

The Super Eagles lost to the Black Stars of Ghana on away goal rules on Tuesday.

Ghana beat Nigeria to the Qatar 2022 ticket, after playing a 1-1 draw at the Moshood Abiola National Stadium in Abuja, on Tuesday evening.

The Black Stars had drawn 0-0 against the Super Eagles in the first leg last Friday in Kumasi.

During Tuesday’s encounter, Thomas Partey scored for Ghana and William Troost Ekong equalized for Nigeria through a penalty, as the match ended in a draw after full time.

However, Ndidi, who missed the 2022 FIFA World Cup African qualifiers playoffs due to injury, took to his Twitter handle to express shock and sadness over the Super Eagles’ 2022 World Cup disappointment.

“Wow,” the Leicester City star tweeted with a wailing Emoji
