Real Madrid has reacted to the death of Cercle Brugge goalkeeper, Miguel Van Damme.
Van Damme died at the age of 28 following a long battle with leukaemia.
The Belgian was first diagnosed with the disease over five years ago.
Reacting, Real Madrid in a statement via their website on Tuesday, said: “Real Madrid CF, its president and its Board of Directors deeply regret the death of Miguel Van Damme, a player from the Círculo de Brujas.
Real Madrid would like to express its condolences and its love and affection to all his relatives and loved ones, his club and his teammates.”
