Manchester United are ahead of Premier League rivals Arsenal in the race for Napoli forward Victor Osimhen, according to reports.
The Nigeria international has been in impressive form for the Partenopei this season despite spending time on the sidelines due to injury.
Osimhen has so far scored 16 goals and provided five assists in 28 appearances across all competitions for the Blues this season.
The 23-year-old still has more than three years left on his current deal with the Blues, but there has been speculation surrounding his future in recent months.
The former Lille striker was also linked with a move to another Premier League club Newcastle United in January.
Arsenal were thought to be in pole position for the forward, but Manchester United, according to Corriere dello Sport are now leading the race for Osimhen.
Osimhen’s agent Roberto Calenda according to the report, has also held talks with Napoli president Aurelio De Laurentiis and sporting director Cristiano Guintolli over the player’s future.
Napoli would allegedly be prepared to sell the talented striker during this summer’s transfer window if they received an offer in the region of £67m.
