But George Boateng says the decision to remain with the technical team lies in the hands of his club Aston Villa.
It’s Aston Villa that will decide whether I am allowed to be part of the technical team or not.” He said
“I think by now everybody knows that the willingness to help my nation is there and I am open to help if I am asked to,
“But it’s now up to me since I am in a full time employment and my contract has not ended.”
Meanwhile Ghana president Nana Akufo Addo wants the technical team maintained for the World Cup, urging the association boss Kurt Okraku to ensure its achieved.
“I’m hoping that the technical team that has been put together for these two matches will at least take us through the World Cup itself.
“Mr Okraku, [do] whatever you can do to make sure the team stays together, at least until Qatar, then afterwards, we can take a long-tern decision.” Akufo Addo said
Ghana will know its group opponents for the group stage on Fridaywhen the draw is held in Doha, Qatar.
The Black Stars are among the lowly-seeded teams after being placed in Pot 4.
This means the team cannot avoid heavyweights like Argentina, Brazil and France as well as 2014 group stage opponent Germany amongst many other stellar nations.
