Manchester United legend, Rio Ferdinand has pinpointed why Manchester City struggled to beat Leicester City in the Premier League on Saturday.
He noted Manchester City would have blown away Leicester City had Brendan Rodgers gone toe-to-toe with Guardiola’s men.
Manchester City struggled against Leicester City in the Premier League on Saturday but claimed a 1-0 win through Kevin De Bruyne’s second-half breathtaking freekick.
Leicester City defended for 75 minutes and opened up the game with 15 minutes left, creating some good chances.
“If they go out there and start playing like they did in the last part of the game then it’s probably 3-0 before half time most times because there be open bigger spaces for City to run into and opportunities to punish them,” Ferdinand said on BT Sport.
Before Saturday’s defeat, Leicester City had returned to winning ways, recording outstanding victories in their last two Premier League games.
