Former Premier League striker, Chris Sutton has predicted a defeat to Arsenal in this weekend’s match against Brighton.
Arsenal are five points clear of Manchester City in the league table after 15 games and Sutton believes that a win over Brighton by the Gunners would simply mean that they would win the league.
The Gunners face a tricky test in their final game of 2022, being a trip to high-flying Brighton on New Year’s Eve and Sutton believes it would end 2-1 in favour of the home side.
Roberto De Zerbi’s side beat Arsenal 3-1 earlier in the season to send them crashing out of the Carabao Cup.
And Sutton told BBC Sport: “If Arsenal go to Brighton and win, then that will be a sign that they can go all the way and win the title.
“This is a big test of their resolve…I’m going for another Seagulls’ success. 2-1.”
Sutton also tipped City to thrash Everton 5-0.
And predicted a draw between Tottenham and Aston Villa
