Brighton manager, Roberto De Zerbi, has backed Arsenal transfer target Mykhaylo Mudryk to win the Ballon d’Or in future.
De Zerbi said this at his pre-match press conference ahead of his side’s Premier League home tie with Arsenal on Saturday.
The 43-year-old, who coached Mudryk at Shakhtar Donetsk, said he likes the Ukrainian.
Mudryk has been linked with a move to Arsenal in the January transfer window.
“Mudryk is a fantastic player, but Brighton can’t buy him. I like him because all my ex-players I like, but I am Brighton’s coach,” De Zerbi said.
“I think Mudryk can win the Ballon d’Or in the future. I know the value of Mudryk.”
