Sacked Portugal national team boss Fernando Santos is heading to Saudi Arabia.
According to Record, Santos is set to join his former captain Cristiano Ronaldo in the Saudi Pro League as he will become the new manager of Al-Shabab.
The Portuguese would leave his post as the coach of the Poland national team to join the Saudi Pro League club
The 68-year-old was sacked by Portugal after they were beaten by Morocco in the round of sixteen of the 2022 World Cup in Qatar and was employed by Poland.
Santos’ relationship with Ronaldo came under scrutiny when the manager decided to bench the five-time Ballon d’Or winner for both of Portugal’s knockout matches against Switzerland and Morocco in the 2022 FIFA World Cup.
He now looks set to take charge of Saudi Pro League club Al-Shabab, a team that will play Al-Nassr on July 29 in the Arab Cup of Champions.
