Alex Iwobi has vowed to repay Fulham manager, Marco Silva’s faith in him.
Silva signed Iwobi for Everton in 2018 and convinced the versatile midfielder to switch to Craven Cottage in the summer.
The 27-year-old was full of praise for his current boss and is determined to do well under his tutelage.
“He’s the one that actually got me to Everton. I did speak with him, and he has a lot of faith in me. For a player to have that trust and confidence from the manager allows you to go and express yourself and play with freedom. I just need to repay the faith,” Iwobi told the Standard.
“I have to give credit to Fulham. They were very welcoming with me and I’m enjoying my time here. We just need to climb up the table and get results like we did today.”
He was in action Fulham’s 1-1 draw at Brighton on Sunday.
