Ten Hag pinpoints mistake Man Utd made against Brentford

Manchester United boss, Erik ten Hag has pointed out the mistake his team made during their Premier League 1-1 draw against Brentford on Saturday.

Ten Hag watched as Mason Mount broke the deadlock deep into stoppage time at the Gtech Community Stadium.

But Kristoffer Ajer hit back in the 99th minute to salvage a point for Brentford.

However, Ten Hag believes the Red Devils made an ‘absolutely unnecessary’ mistake by not acting differently after scoring a late goal against the host.

“We made some mistakes and we have to talk about this, of course,” Ten Hag told Sky Sports in his post-match interview after the game.

“We should act differently in that occasion where we conceded the equaliser, it was absolutely unnecessary.

“But as I say, if you are in stoppage time and you make that goal, maybe we didn’t deserve it, but I have to compliment the team that they hung in the game and kept fighting, although I thought Brentford wanted it more during the whole course of the game.”
