Liverpool legend Jamie Carragher has called Mohamed Salah “daft” for his “fire” comment in the mixed zone, following a touchline spat with manager Jurgen Klopp.
Salah was dropped for their 2-2 draw at West Ham on Saturday.
The Egyptian forward looked unhappy with Klopp when he was finally introduced in the 79th minute.
Both men were caught on camera arguing as Michail Antonio equalised, with Darwin Nunez pulling Salah away.
After the match, Salah told reporters, “If I speak, there will be fire.”
Carragher, writing on X, has said: “Mo Salah and Jurgen Klopp are both LFC legends. We don’t need to take sides! Salah is frustrated and angry with Jurgen that he’s not playing and, at that moment, didn’t want to fully embrace the boss. Jurgen understandably took exception.
