Man Utd senior officials set date to decide Ten Hag’s future

Senior officials at Manchester United will meet in the coming week, to decide on the future of manager Erik ten Hag.

Ten Hag led the team into Saturday’s FA Cup final against Manchester City off the back of reports claiming that the club hierarchy, led by Sir Jim Ratcliffe, had already decided to fire him after a miserable Premier League campaign.

The speculations insisted that winning the FA Cup would not save the Dutchman from the sack.

However, the Athletic reports that a season review will take place next week to determine Ten Hag’s fate.

Senior figures including Ratcliffe and Ineos’ sporting director Sir Dave Brailsford, will analyse United’s worst league campaign for over 30 years before deciding whether a change in management is required.

United have been linked with Ipswich Town manager Kieran McKenna, Brentford boss Thomas Frank, Thomas Tuchel and Mauricio Pochettino, who is unattached after parting company with Chelsea earlier this week.
