Cricket: Sussex all-rounder Lamb Out for Rest of Season

Sussex all-rounder Danny Lamb has been ruled out for the rest of the season after having surgery on his injured shoulder.

Lamb sustained the injury against Middlesex in the Blast last week.

"Danny has settled into life at Hove brilliantly, he has played a huge role in the on-field progress the team has made this season and will be greatly missed for the rest of the campaign," Sussex head coach, Paul Farbrace, told the club's website., external

"He is a hugely popular lad, and we all look forward to having him back with us very soon."

Lamb has scored 522 runs and taken 21 wickets for the club.

He began his career at Lancashire in 2017 and won the County Championship Division Two title in 2019.

He spent time on loan at Gloucestershire and Somerset last year.
