Liverpool midfielder Stefan Bajcetic has joined Red Bull Salzburg on loan for the rest of the 2024-25 season.
The 19-year-old Spaniard has played 22 times for Liverpool since his debut in August 2022, but only made three appearances last season.
He missed much of the campaign with a thigh injury sustained in March 2023 and has not been in the squad for Liverpool's opening two Premier League games under new head coach Arne Slot.
At the Austrian club he will be managed by Pep Lijnders, who was an assistant coach at Liverpool under former manager Jurgen Klopp.
They signed Liverpool midfielder Bobby Clarke earlier in the window for a fee believed to be worth about £10m.
Red Bull Salzburg are top of the Austrian Bundesliga with three wins from three and qualified for the Champions League group phase this week.
"I would like to win the league and impress in the Champions League too with my new team," Bajcetic said.
"An important reason for my move is that Salzburg have focused on developing young players for many years - it's a club with lots of potential.
