Gilligan urges King to Cease his Criticism of Rangers.

Rangers interim chairman John Gilligan has urged major shareholder Dave King to stop publicly criticizing the club's management.

King, who is based in South Africa, has voiced concerns in the media over the past week, stating that Rangers lack leadership and are facing a crisis. He has called for an extraordinary general meeting and expressed his desire to return as chairman, a role he held when Rangers last won the Scottish Premiership in 2021.

Gilligan, who was part of the consortium that took control of the club in 2015 alongside King, has returned following John Bennett's resignation due to health issues.

"Has any director or anyone at the club said anything about Dave? No," Gilligan stated.

"Have they responded publicly?  Will I say anything bad about Dave? No. But do I wish he’d stop airing his thoughts in public? Yes.

"Please keep it below the radar. Behave like a proper shareholder. It’s a shame because he’s a great character and had a significant impact during the club’s last league title success."
