Haaland Might not Play against Brentford – Guardiola Admits

Manchester City manager, Pep Guardiola, has said Erling Haaland might not be available to face Brentford in their Premier League clash on Saturday.

Haaland lost one of his close friends this week while on international duty.

Guardiola, addressing the media today, said the Norway striker would have to be mentally ready to play.

He said: “Tough moment for him and his family. Sad news. Our thoughts are with him and his family.

“We will see tomorrow if he is able mentally and physically to play.”

Haaland has begun the current campaign in fine form, scoring back-to-back hat-tricks, with a tally of seven in three fixtures.

City are top of the league with nine points.
