Mark Flekken saved Liam Palmer’s penalty to send the Bees through 5-4 after the game ended 1-1. Kevin Schade gave the hosts an early lead before Djeidi Gassama’s second-half equaliser. Southampton survived a scare against Stoke City to reach the last eight. The Saints led through goals by Taylor Harwood-Bellis and Adam Armstrong, but Stoke levelled through Ashley Phillips and Tom Cannon, before James Bree scored late.
