Arsenal winger Bukayo Saka has congratulated international teammate Cole Palmer for winning England Player of the Year.
Palmer won the award ahead of Saka and Jude Bellingham.
“Credit to Cole (Palmer) for winning player of the year. It’s a big achievement and he deserves it. I was next to him at the time; his mouth was just open; he couldn’t believe it,” Saka said.
Despite not starting a single match during Euro 2024, Palmer scored his first England goal in their 2-1 defeat to Spain in the final.
Palmer also set up Ollie Watkins’ winner in the semi-final against the Netherlands.
