I’m starting to worry about this team – Roy Keane on Arsenal 2-2 draw with Liverpool

Former Manchester United star, Roy Keane has expressed worries over the mentality of the current Arsenal team.

Keane’s worries were as a result of the Gunners’ entertaining 2-2 draw at home to Liverpool on Sunday.

Following their 2-0 defeat to Bournemouth last weekend, the Gunners dropped points again with the draw.

Mohamed Salah netted with nine minutes left to rescue a point for Liverpool at the Emirates.

Arsenal had taken the lead thanks to Bukayo Saka’s fine finish, before Virgil van Dijk headed it for 1-1.

The Gunners took the lead again before the end of the first half, with Mikel Merino scoring his first goal for Arsenal.

Keane, speaking on Sky Sports, questioned the reasoning behind Arsenal’s decision to sit back instead of looking to kill off the game when they were 2-1 up.

“I’m starting to worry about this Arsenal mentality — you’re 2-1 up, I’m still looking at it like, ‘Go on and win the game’.

“When they get themselves in front, they sit back in. Liverpool were there for the taking,” he said.
