Manchester United forward, Marcus Rashford, was sent home from training on Monday, a day after being omitted from the matchday squad for their 2-1 win over Manchester City.
However, the reason why manager Ruben Amorim sent him back was due to illness.
United’s policy is that those who are sick should report at the Carrington training centre to be assessed by the club doctor.
However, the next day, Rashford was at his old primary school, where he gave out 420 presents.
Speaking at the school, Rashford admitted he was ready to leave Old Trafford.
He said: “Personally, I’m ready for a new challenge and the next steps,’ Rashford said.
“When I leave, it’s going to be no hard feelings. You’re not going to have any negative comments from me about Man United.”
