Dogo blames ‘hard luck’ for Nasarawa United’s defeat to Heartland

Nasarawa United head coach, Kabiru Dogo has blamed “hard luck” for his team’s 3-2 loss to Heartland.

The Solid Miners were four minutes away from recording their first away of the season at the Dan Anyiam Stadium, Owerri on Sunday.

Heartland, however, snatched victory with two late goals from Suraj Lawal and Christian Molokwu.

“It was a very good game, and anyone who watched it will confirm it was of a high standard,” Dogo said after the game.

“Unfortunately, we’ve not been lucky in any game we’ve played this season. There’s no match we’ve played badly, but we’ve just not been lucky.”

“Let’s pray that the ‘god of soccer’ will be with us in our subsequent games.”

Nasarawa United are rooted to bottom spot on the table following the defeat.

They will host Lobi Stars in their next league game at the Lafia City Stadium on Sunday.
